What to do if you are evacuating flooding with a pet

If you evacuate to an Emergency Management Agency shelter:
  • Bring your pets.
  • The ASPCA will start dropping off crates for the pets to hold.
  • A shuttle will then come to each EMA shelter to pick up your pet and bring him or her to the Emergency Animal Shelter on Shelby Oaks Drive.
If you self-evacuate to a hotel/motel, etc:
  • You can drop off your pet at the Emergency Animal Shelter.
  • The shelter is located at 1716 North Shelby Oaks Drive, Suite 1 (map)
  • Right next door to the Emergency Animal Shelter, the ASPCA and Pet Smart are teaming up to send pet supply donations across the devastated region.
